What to bring: At least 1L of water, and a snack like a sandwich or fruit. You will want to wear shoes with good traction. Also, bring a flashlight for the way down.

More info: In 1893, a glamorous hotel called Echo Chalet opened atop Echo Mountain. Ladies in hoop skirts and gentlemen in suits would ride the railway to enjoy their holiday in the Altadena hills. Sadly, in 1900, it burned down.

We can still hike up, enjoy the view, see the old foundations and even some of the old railroad equipment. Along the way, we will enjoy views of Downtown LA.

We will enjoy the sunset and a snack from the top.
